Im currently running 275 45 20
I live in a town and do alot of flat road driving but i work in the countryside and do alot of country roads and fields too.

Can i go up a size to 275 50 20.
I have an r line and like the look of the bigger alloys and styling. It drives fantastic at home. But isnt ideal for working on a farm. Do i really have to change my alloys? Or can i go up a tire size without and issues?

I did that. It was an OEM Audi 20" rim I had.
Mine is 2013 3.6L Fsi with spring suspension.

  • Absolutely no clearance or rubbing issues.
  • I lost a bit of acceleration-not a big issue.
  • Cornering was still great, altho we sat higher by few cm or so.
  • Speedo begin underreading from +4 km/h to -3 km/h. So beware of speedcams.
  • Consumption might have remained same, or deteriorated only slightly, reading will be slight out owing to speedo misread.
  • It hits the bumps and potholes much better now, I get a much better ride/comfort.

Hope this helps you.
