Safe is a relative term. Can you? Yes, if you get ones that can handle the Tregs weight and you also get the offset of the wheel and the tire size right. IMO you'll be riding on bologna skins and would most likely not like the ride. I don't even want to talk about potholes or bad driving pavement.

 

The Audi Q7 from the same model year came with 21" wheels.

Tyres fitted were 295/35 R21

To place 22" tyres you will need to look at 30 profile rubber, that is like rapping a couple layers of tape around a set of wheels. You would be feeling the lines marked on the road with that profile.

Sure, but you'll be losing your offroading ability, towing ability, and ride quality that are the major value proposition in a vehicle that has barely more interior space than a VW Golf but almost twice the weight, twice the fuel consumption, and 10x the maintenance costs.

Few days ago installed Porsche Cayenne Gemballa rims with 275/35 tires on them to my 2011 touareg Right now i am not sure If it was A good idea or not

22” wheels do fit. These are 295/35/22 They have a decent amount of tire. They ride super smooth but like any low profile tire, look out for potholes!
And yes that is a Touareg TDI on the race track. It ran a faster lap time than a Porsche Panamera
