Guys,

Need some advise, I want to rid of my current aftermarket wheels on my car, mainly as the ride isnt great, and one of the wheels is slightly bent after a curb incident which seems to show when driving.

I want to put Genuine 21 in GTS Porsche Cayenne Wheels on the car and just want peoples advice if they will fit directly on and if there will be any issues?

Cheers

Matt

If you are not happy with the ride and prone to damage with large wheels, maybe you will consider smaller wheels. You will get much better ride and more durable design with 20" maximum, maybe even 19".

20" with 275/45 series tires for more SUV'ability, or again 20" but with 275/40 series for that sporting edge, whilst maintaining a safety margin. I've gone with the more OEM sized 40, very happy with this size, but I think I will go with 295/40/20(or 285 if that even exists) on the next go.

22" looks very cool if you have the W12/R50 fender flares, but you just figured out the rest the hard way, your SUV throws all its SUV'ability out the window with 22". Not that there is anything wrong with that.. 8-[

21" inch may very well be the cutting edge, the ultimate threshold of what works, but like Nick mentioned, you are looking at tires 2X-3X more expensive EACH.

the reason I ask, is I have the option to buy OEM Porsche GTS wheels for a little over 1200 USD with Michelin Tyres which are nearly new.

22s give a slight wobble on the steering wheel for some reason , and Im hoping if I get OEM wheels that this will be eliminate and make it as good as new again.

I have the fender flares, and also lowered so I dont want to go to 18s 19s as it will not look right and the wheels will be too small but I thought the 21s would be a good buy especially as they are going for nearly twice that price everywhere else!

have to be quick though!!

I am glad you are satified with your purchase.

Generally when I goes with an aftermarket wheel I usually select one that is close in dimensions to and OEM wheel and look for the lightest one I can get for the price I want to pay.

The benefits of using an up sized OEM wheel is that the Factory already tuned the suspesion and handling for the wheel and you never have to worry about proper spacing or potential rubbing because the wheel was already design to work with your car.

I would vote for 20" wheels but I have nothing against 22"

Took them straight off old wheels. Think u can get them from eBay. I was lucky mine fit spot on.

Im well chuffed with it all, think it looks well nice, a little more oem than when had the kahns on it so it appeals to more people also got lucky as got the genuine wheels for around 1500 poumds with new Pirelli p zeros so absolute bargain!

Very nice, I had these on my 2004 Cayenne Turbo. What side skirts are those?

..
only thing i fancy doing is the rear bumper and front bumper with R50 / W12 Valances but really dont think I can justify the money on it.
Do you think you can pull it off with your present smaller style, regular OEM VW fender flares, versus with the larger W12 fender flares, or would you be planning to run it fender flare-less?

Aha, those are the R-50 side skirts without the wide flares. Was not sure how that would look... Not too bad. I decided to go with a different side skirt on mine since I preferred not to install any fender flares.

Nice looking Touareg!

I wouldn't run it fender flare less as also got 1.5" spacers on the wheels at the moment , and h&r springs so would look rubbish without the flares , But to be honest it's a lot of money to sink into the car to replace all fender flares and also do the bumpers front and rear.

The Porsche cayenne turbos and gts have similar smaller style flares with front and rear valances and they look great IMO.

Unless some can tell me the parts are relatively cheap then of course would change them.

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the Forum, I'm sorry my English is not good!
I live in Canada and I speak French ...
I find your Touareg really very very beautiful with the GTS rims!
I just bought a 2012 Touareg TDI white (with the Sport kit and rims 20 '), I will use the original rims for the winter. So I am looking for nice new rims for my Touareg dressed for summer.
Since the beginning of my research, I always think that the GTS rims would be perfect for my Touareg and thanks to you, I am now on it is a very good idea.
For dimensions of GTS rims for my Touareg ... I have to take the 20 'or 22'??
Do you know whether to make changes to put 22 '??
Do you have pictures of 2012 Touareg with GTS rims??
What is the exact size of tires you need for GTS rims in 22 'and 20'
Is it possible to put the original tires on the rims of Touareg (275/45R20 H)??
I use this vehicle every day, but on weekends, I towing my trailer to go to the racetrack (+ / - 7,000 Lbs), no problem to do this job with GTS rims?? As strong as the original rims??
I do not want to break my

I apologize to all these questions ... I find this model which I love!
