FYI
A UK and Canadian gallon is about 10% larger than a US gallon

 

Actually 25% larger. 5 US quarts to 1 Imperial gallon.
Therefore 42.8 UKmpg = 34.24 USmpg - much more reasonable in US terms
UK uses a different certification procedure than US also.

 

Just a clarification note:
5 US qts to 1 Imp Gal is a rough estimate but not acurate if you are past the decimal point.

42.8 Imperial MPG = 35.64 US MPG = 6.60 Litres/100km

I've also seen the figure of 6.8 L/100km which converts to:
34.59 US MPG
41.54 Imp MPG

Either way, these figures are nice and from what I've read, real world testing appears to suggest that they might actually be achievable in "restrained" personal use, unlike EPA ratings for most.

 

Good to the rear locker is still available but is that in a 4xmotion?

A have the German catalogue right in front of me and the 4XMotion is still there for the V6TDI. Called "Terrain Tech" available with Centre differential with electrically controlled multi-plate lock and low range gearing.

Of interest to note the German ones in the show room over here are all fitted with 17" wheels and AT summer tyres.

Hello and as I'm new to this forum, probably making protocol mistakes. But here goes. How do I enter a simple question to the website. You seem like a veteran.
I recently bought a new 2014 TDI Exceutive and though surprised at NO Air Suspension went ahead anyway for the solid tow abilities. How do I find ut if VW will bring back the off road air suspension/height adjustment of the my 2004 V10 TDI which my wife has taken over.
