The trim around the 115 VAC socket pops off to reveal two screws. Remove the screws and then the entire back pulls off. The vent is held in place first by 4 plastic "pins" to position it then 4 other pins next to the first 4 have been heated to melt them kind of into a pop rivet. I just used a drill to remove the melted part (like you would drill out a rivet).
