Hello,

I'm planning to buy a 2014 Touareg fully loaded with safety features like Front Assist. What I need to know if 2014 model have Pedestrian Monitoring System or City Emergency Braking. After some google search I can see Pedestrian Monitoring System is a built in feature of Front Assist, but this info is showing only on 2018 -2019 web results. I don't know if the 2014 Touareg with Front Assist feature have Pedestrian Monitoring System. This euroncap 2012 'front assist' description link doesn't say a word about Pedestrian Monitoring System or City Emergency Braking euroncap.com/en/ratings-rewards/euro-ncap-advanced-rewards/2012-volkswagen-front-assist

Hi
No, there is no pedestrian monitoring system. This only came with the new Touareg which came out last year
I have found 2 Touareg 2014 P7. One have all this fancy safety features like lane assist, front assist, etc but has higher mileage and looks a little more used inside (some areas with wrinkled leather) , no cameras, coil suspension. The other one looks much more well taken care of, it has 360 degree cameras, keyless start + air suspension and its $1500 cheaper. What model should I go for ?

Definitely the one with 360 camera and air suspension. I have lane assist on mine and I never use it. One thing to check is if they have adaptive cruise control.
Bad news with the 360 camera and air suspension Touareg, I just went to the VW authorized dealer check, they found oil leak where the gearbox connects with the motor. They told that on the next 5000-15000km I would have to spend around $4000 for this repair. Is that the rear main seal, correct ? It seems a lot of money so I bypassed that car, the seller seems to be hidden that problem, he didn't said a word about it.
