Hello everyone i am new here and in the market for a touareg tdi, we found one at the dealer for a good price because of all the incentives they have trying to get rid of the 14's. My question is would it be worth waiting for the 2015's to come out or take the awesome deal on the 2014.Will the new changes in the 2015 be worth the extra money I'm sure there won't be any incentives on the 2015 touaregs for quite some time .I am located in canada and the price for the 2014 touareg tdi exec is $62,000 with taxes and has 6000 km on it as it was the general managers demo unit, is this a fair price to pay if there is anyone from canada that can compare.

I wouldn't call the facelift "substantial". There's a bit of a tweak on the higher BHP Tdi, and a marginal improvement in fuel consumption with the new "coasting" function in the transmission [like stop/start, it's not to everyone's taste], but the rest is pretty much cosmetic and, frankly, again not to everyone's taste unless you really like plastic chrome.

For reference, I just did a quick build of a 2014 TDI Exe on the VW Canada site and it came to around $75k with taxes ($8000). Ouch. $75k is the price of a decently equipped Cayenne in the States - but State taxes and fees are extra. With the aggressive markdown, suggest checking inventory of dealers in your area (200 mile search area) on the VW Canada site. It may be worth an email where you can compare new vs demo. As far as waiting for the 2015 (like I am doing), that is a gamble but the rumored improvements appear substantial. Now if they would just get out of the rumored phase.

I would try to lower the price and have the extended warranty included. Don't forget it is still a demo and a new Touareg had lots of good reductions on them plus the interest rates were really low in order to get rid of them. Dealers have a hard time to get rid of their demo's so push him to lower the price or go for a new 2014 if one is available in the province.
