2013 Diesel Cayenne- Oil Cooler Repair Thread

Good Afternoon,

I am going to be tackling the oil cooler replacement on my 2013 Diesel Cayenne over the next week or so; yes I still have the extended diesel warranty coverage but much to my dismay, I have tried multiple different dealers and no one is willing to do the oil cooler under warranty. The EGR cooler and all associated gaskets and seals which rests directly on top of, and interacts with the oil cooler were replaced under warranty but the Oil cooler is being denied.

I have found the OEM part, and gaskets via FCP Euro, however the few videos I have seen on people completing the repair, all mention an additional plastic elbow flange that ends up breaking and needing replaced. Does anyone have a direct link for this part or where it can be ordered from in advance?

Thank you!

It's a shame you can't take advantage of the extended warranty and get this covered under that, if it is.
I'd tell you to contact VAG of America and let them know, but then I'd be worried about any dealer that is then "required" to do the repair by them mucking things up worse than they already are.
As far as that plastic elbow flange, or pipe, I recall someone on here looking for the same thing as theirs was cracked, and I could swear someone pointed them in a direction for the part w/part#. I just can't recall which thread. Try the "Search Community" rectangle at the top of the page and see if you can pull up threads to read through for that info.
Maybe someone better in the know will also hop on this thread and be able to give better info.

Its a very easy job if you have a thin long T25 I believe. About a weekend if you have all the parts.

You are looking for the coolant flange 059121506H which does break (mine did).

I extremely doubt that your actual cooler is leaking! I would bet money on that one as It's a very rugged unit and really nothing to it. Yet if you really think it is (it won't be when you get in there) here is a cheaper original part: Oil Cooler (CPNB)(CNRB) You also want to do part number 059121737AM ohh, and if your EGR cooler is leaking PM me, I have a 50K mile one I just deleted from my Touareg.
