Does anyone have the coding to get the driving lights to their adjustment position?

VAG doesn't show any long coding "translation" and there is byte for "home" position where lights are supposed to be adjusted.

Mine needs to be tad higher and I don't want to go dealer for that...

Folks with VAG-COM and pre 2011 cars with Xenons.

Kindly go to Xenon module, check security and check your security code (move cursor over and around the code window) and post or PM me the code as who knows it might be the right one...

I haven't heard back from Ross-Tech so I need to try other ways...

Careful with that. I had the same feeling that they need to be a tad higher so I went to the dealer and raised them. Two weeks later I was back to ask him to set them back as they were because the high beam was to high and cannot be adjusted separately because there is in fact only one bulb+ optics that have a sort of blind to shade the upper part of the beam when using the low beam. Anyway please
keep us posted.

I also had xeons adjusted as well, and was also back a short time later to have them lowered again. I don't know how precise the adjustment is.....
Isn't there a separate adjustment for high beams? Had mine raised and low is much better, but high is too high. Doesn't make sense that it affects high as its seperate bulb, do what can be done?

If you have Xenons there is not an seperate bulb for high. It is a shutter and the actually brightness does not change, just the shutter opens to give you the full light. What you are seeing as a too low low beam is just the cut off for the shutter. I messed with this on my 04 only to have the dealer to put it back how it was from the factory.

So why are there 2 bulbs per side? I thought the inner bulb closest to grill was high beam and outer bulb which has lens hood, the low beam.

Flash-to-pass?
Flash to pass is the high beam. Using that with headlights on or off still gives same light up in air as high beam. What I think is happening is in high beam, low beam xenon stats on and assists other bulb. If you look at the high beam pattern. It's straight for about 20' then shines upward which makes sense that both high and low beam are working together and are independent beams.

Hi Guys,
Thought I would add my thoughts regarding lights.
The HID lights on the 2011 and up are used for high and low beam. The internal shutter moves to give you the difference between high and low. The halogen H7 lights (close to the grill)is used for "Flash to pass". Due to the high start up voltage that the HID lights require (50,000 Volts to start the arc in the bulb and then the voltage is reduced and the current required is reduced to somewhere around 35 watts!) their life could be seriously reduced if used for short intervals and increased cost(ie. flash to pass) so the Bosch boffins fit the halogen H7 for this reason.

Is there any programming to adjust shutter for high beam without having to lower low beam back to factory?

As I understand it, the shutter is not used on the high beam or full beam, that is the function of the optics / reflector / lens. The shutter is only required for a horizontal edge that you see when on low beam. The amount of design that goes into making these HID light assemblies is mind-boggling. May I ask why do you want to adjust the lights? They have been set at a level that is best for most of the conditions. You also have to bear in mind that these are not like normal halogen lights. The light intensity (lumens) is so much higher than normal halogen that it is seriously dangerous to blind the oncoming cars. Legislation on this design is most stringent. The H7/H4 halogen bulb is approx. 1750 lumens of flux, where the HID bulb has a flux of 3,200! Sorry to include the technical facts but maybe this will give you a better insight into the engineering of this type of light

Indeed gazaflash, and i have the problem with that. First let me say that this 2011 Treg is my first car with HID. Now the problem: low beam intensity is so high that the human eye iris adapts to it, contracts, and decrease the chance to see the people on the street unless they wear white shoes, because above the clear cut shadow line on top of low beam I can't see anything.

After having OEM HID with leveling on 4 past cars, I would not buy new car without the HID's.

We drive fare share at night time and I say thank you HID illuminating the road and giving me time to slow down to avoid the deers! With normal halogens people don't see the animals and it's too late when critter comes to beam pattern...
