So I should be getting my 2012 Exec TDI finally this month. I have a quick question for you all regarding the saddle brown interior and the door panels. My friend just got a black 2011 with the brown and I hate the door panel window switch and grab handle as they are a brown plastic and it looks like they did not match it properly. The thing is when you look at the pictures of touaregs its shown different ways in different photos. Can those of you with the brown interior let me know if yours is the brown plastic or black or dark brown on the window with and handle.

2012 Touareg Brown interior question

My 2011 is the two tone as shown in your first and third pictures although the color difference is not as great as the picture. The panel is more a milk chocolate color. The 2012 picture clearly shows the panel to be the same color as the dash, but it also says US or Euro interior may be shown. Search on my user name, I'm pretty sure I posted pics of my interior.
I cannot comprehend how car companies do not offer better pictures of interior colors. I ultimately decided on the cornsilk beige because there were no solid pictures of the saddle. I would still prefer brown seats, and the dark milk chocolate brown on the dash and upper doors is fantastic, so I think in a few years I will get some custom chocolate seat leathers done. All the pictures I have seen, other than the official VW photos, show two distinct colors of brown.

Interior Colors
I test drove several 2012s and the Saddle Brown leather seating is matched up with gray door panel and dash accents. My 2005 had a similar color scheme and I really liked it, although some people could not agree on the baseball glove brown leather (a lighter version than now) with the Gray Metallic exterior. For my 2012, I went for the Night Blue Metallic/Black combination, and I am very happy with my switch.
