Do I ever love my new Touareg! Sorry for those of you who are still waiting for your long-awaited Egg... not trying to rub it in.

Couple quick questions, maybe some of you more experienced Treggers will have answers to...

1. How can I confirm whether or not I have a Dynaudio stereo? I have a highline which isn't "supposed" to have the Dynaudio upgrade but it does sound really good... Is there supposed to be a Dynaudio badge or anything somewhere? Or would I basically need to expose the speakers themselves to actually see if there is in fact 12 speakers (dont think I'd do it). The reason I wonder is because I wasn't supposed to have power tilt/telescopic steering with my Highline. But I have it... so what other features is my Highline sportin' that I dont know about!

2. The memory seats/mirrors, etc are really cool! But why does the passenger seat have a mind of its own? It seems to default to a bit of a recline everytime we come back to it. Any idea why it does this and how to override it?

3. Does the Adaptive Front-light system (when turned on in the infotainment) work only when the headlight knob is turned to Auto? And if so, Im pretty sure it doesn't work when the high beams are switched on, is this correct?

I think that's all for now... just a few little superficial questions. Thanks for your help!

Hmm I thought the memory seats/mirrors was an exclusive to the exec trim aswell, maybe yours was built on a friday and you lucked out :D

Same for the telescopic steering as you've already mentioned.

As for the Dynaudio I was under the impression the speakers beside your door handle sport a logo, but I may be wrong.

The seat problem could be your passenger hitting the button as they're getting out, my wife's done it before, it's in a really bad spot, where your thigh can hit it.

The AFS should work with the switch on ON when driving over a certain speed, with low beam and high beam. The TEST the lights do when you turn your car on only seem to do it regularlly with the Switch on AUTO, I find if the switch is on "ON", it'll only do a headlight test on startup every now and then.

There should be a dynaudio logo on the door speaker.

The seat issue may be a bug, or it may have something to do with a setting deep in the menu that automatically sets the passenger seat to the same setting as the driver's seat. Or it may be inadvertently hitting the seat adjusters when exiting, as Sam says. Check the owners manual.

Every once in a while, I get into my TReg and the seat has pulled itself all the way forward. Once, when it was new, I let a friend drive it who was short. Somehow, the TReg captured her seat settings and restores them on occasion. It's either a bug, or somehow we activated the setting that ties a seat position to a particular key. It happens so infrequently, that it isn't much of a bother, and I just press my seat setting to restore it.

However, other TReg owners have had more annoying experiences with seats that seem to have a mind of their own. You will find threads on this if you look.

Enjoy your new TReg!

The speakers by the door handles have the Dynaudio logo.
If that's the case, then I dont think I have the Dynaudio stereo. However, I may look into it a bit more.

No, the memory seats/mirrors come standard on the Highline and Execline, for both gasser and diesel models. But the power height & telescopic steering column is only supposed to come on the Exec. So...?...yeah, to my luck, it must've been made on a Friday, when everyone was in too good of mood to care about the specs. haha
Makes me kinda wonder if I do have the Dynaudio, but there is no badge anywhere. But I have the same amount of "speaker locations" that the Dynaudio is supposed to. I wonder if I should call VW and quote my vin...would that help clarify?

As stated --- the DynAudio system has badges in the cabin by the speakers

They will work if you manually put the lights on or leave them in Auto

Thanks for your help, guys.

Ya, dont think I have the DynAudio stereo..but thats ok. It does sound pretty good as a factory setup... I am pretty fussy when it comes to sound quality and eq... I will probably eventually upgrade the stereo to have some Focal speakers or something. The Treg is already a true gem...it would be that much better if I had some quality speakers in it.
Have I mentioned I just love this Treg? I can probably say I'll always have a Treg in the family. haha I took it on a 700km trip this weekend and got a whoppin' 30mpg...that was with a fairly heavy foot. Driving 120-140km/hr.
