Hi Marty. I did take a look, did you have a few in mind? The 2010 TDI 22" Wheels thread looks like a LUX LImited, but isn't.

 

how many miles did you have on your touareg when the transmission gave out ?

72,000. Slipping coming out of 4th into 5th (Hi Rev). Did a search and found 3 others with similar results on 2004 models.

Back to the forums after a long break. My 2004 Touareg transmission gave out and I decided to trade up.

I have a 2010 Touareg LUX Limited Sapphire Blue, with the Premium Technologie Package, on the way due next week. I looked through the forums and could not find any pictures of the Sapphire Blue or other LUX Limited editions. Anybody else that can share or point me to the any photos? I have read all the available specs and seen photos from the press release in black, but looking for owner photos and comments.

Will post pictures of mine as soon as it arrives.

Yup, same problem with my tranny. Replaced at 60k under warranty. Did they give you a decent trade value? I am considering trading/selling mine.

 

With my considerable repairs, it only blue booked at slightly over $10K. Tranny replacement, brakes, and other small service items came to about $11K. They gave me $9K as is on trade in. Thought that was more then fair give the hefty repair bill I was looking at.

If you were to write a very short review, what would be the highlights of the improvements you feel between the 2004 and this new one?
What kind of mods do you have in mind? Are you ever planning on installing those OEM W12 fender flares, seeing that is really all that is missing on that Lux Limited Package?


Man I love your bug! The VW Beetle was my very first love as a car back when I was 2-3 years old believe it or not. That is the age that I became fully perceptive and aware of that car, and I do remember it like it was yesterday. I guess that was the period, the dawn of how I became a car nut It was one of two red ones that my dad owned. Bought one in 69, an other one again in 71, and finally sold them in 75 and bought a new Dodge Dart. My car enthusiasm days thus came to a halting early end, until I took matters into my own hands when I became 18.

Cabinets shown here are Ulti-Mate cabinets. Shipped flat, very easy assembly. High quality. Really like the look.

Floor is Race Deck Circle Track. Very easy snap together design.

I took a long break on air for as well. Got back into them last year. Working through 2 bugs and then want a bus.

Does anyone know if on these sapphire blue ones or the r50s is that bottom piece painted silver or is it an aluminum inset

 

Lux Limited it is painted plastic. Silver on the Sapphire Blue model only.

Installing the Hitch is not a big deal
but the lower trim piece needs to be replaced with the hitch cut out piece (different part number from the non-hitch piece).
It will come primed and needs to be painted
if you ever find out the paint code for that silver, let me know

Just got my blue beauty today! It is gorgeous!!!! Love the 2 tone leather interior!
Were able to find one 1200 miles away, down in FL.

Nice, I love the color!!! Didnt care much for the shadow blue but the sapphire is awesome. Reminds of M3 my neigboor had years ago.
