Hi all,

So after failing to get either the CarPro or Bovee brand bluetooth adapters to work for more than a few car rides (they worked flawlessly for a bit, ie a few separate trips but then the head unit gets stuck in initializing mode, my phone is sucessfully synced all the while) I am back to square one and considering swapping bluetooth modules.

I have read so many posts on this across multiple VW sites, but I have not seen mention of the full color MFD from 2009 and it's compatibility with the 9W7 module. My main goal is to get streaming music. I don't care about the voice commands, but having the info pop up on the MFD would be nice. But, really, not that essential.

Thoughts? Can I just connect the 9W7, do a little vag'ing and have streaming audio and hands free phone calls? Would the 9W2 give me streaming audio and phone calls?

Any help would be much appreciated. And part numbers would be down right praiseworthy!

Hi All,

Looking like the 9W7 kit from Euro Zone Tuning might be an option as they say it will work with the premium multicolor MFD.

Thoughts? Anybody?

Hi all,

So I installed my 9W7 Bluetooth module from Euro Zone Tuning last week and the sound is kinda harsh. The AUX sounds way better and it kinda sounds like the bluetooth audio is mono instead of stereo. Is there anything I am missing? Do I need to fiddle with any VAGCOM bytes? I installed the 2 additional LEFT SIDE wires as needed. That part was very easy, they dropped down right behind the head unit and then I tucked them up along the passenger side of center console, eventually dropping them down where there is a split in the carpet.

Anyhow, any help would be greatly appreciated!
