Hey, Thanks for the questions and interest. Any repair work or maintenance that was done was either preventative or something was showing signs of weakness or done as it raised its ugly head. As such the following has been done; Upper & lower control arms replaced , Prop Shaft replaced , Manifolds replaced, Starter rebuilt and belt replaced, Alternator rebuilt, All of the injectors were replace at my request not that they needed to be replaced also the glow plug wiring harness was replaced, Calipers were powder coated, Touareg decal painted on calipers, new rotors and pads, bluetooth mod installed, both batteries were replaced, Replaced right side High Pressure fuel pump, carbon cleaned from intakes and throttles, SunRoof glass was replaced by VW as it was damaged by a falling object off a bridge being repaired (Insurance Claim), Headlight switch replaced, Rubber hood seal replaced and recent transmission service was completed. There have been no major issues with my vehicle other than trying to keep it maintained and repaired as necessary.

If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks again!

V10 has no belts FYI.

The V10 itself may have no belts but the Alternator has a thick drive belt on the inside, my mechanic showed it to me. I know I said starter but I believe it was the alternator.

The V10 has a thick internally ribbed rubber drive coupling for the drive to the alternator up in the 'V' as well as another ribbed rubber coupling for the drive to the AC compressor which sits in front of and on the same axis centre line as the power steering pump down low on left side. These ribbed couplings are a safety fail device to protect in case either of those ancillaries fails and locks up, the coupling will fail to prevent mechanical damage to the geared mechanical drives.

It is always good practice to replace these couplings if they're old or look suspect at all when you have these things apart.

Sorry I don't have part numbers to hand.

Pete.

Pete is correct on all points.

Hello, thank you for your question and interest. The oil was changed in the spring and my Treg has been driven very little since it was changed. I'm waiting for a deposit from a gentleman, if for some reason this falls through I will certainly let you know. Thanks again.

Hello,

I want to thank everyone for their interest in my vehicle. It's a very good reliable vehicle and I have a couple of upcoming trips and being its such a great traveling vehicle I've decided to keep it a while longer.

No. I had lots of interest and a couple of offers, (no deposits even when I ask for one) I went through the process with two people getting quotes regarding transporting, recall and compliance letters and then silence. I even had a guy come down twice locally and all I continued to get from him was I have to sell my vehicle first. My Treg is a really great reliable vehicle and I was only selling it because I wanted and needed a new truck but with the chip shortage and all the vehicles sitting in fields I'm going to hold off. I'll try selling it maybe next year? In the mean time I'm going to enjoy my Treg on a couple of trips! Thanks for the comment

Hey James B idk how this fourm works but when your ready to sell this when you get your new truck let me know I'm in bc and intrested in your toureg. Thanks Ryan

Hi James, thanks for the message and interest. I will certainly keep you in mind when I'm ready to sell again. With the chip shortage right now and know info when it might end it could be a while? If you send me your email address I will be able to contact you. Thanks again and take care.
