Well I purchase my new Treg today. I was a proud owner of an 04 Phaeton until it was in for service every 3 months. While I loved the Car, one of the best I have ever driven, I got tired of the constant maintainence having to be completed. So I gave up the ghost and now am a proud owner of a Burg/Grey V6 Treg. Hopefully the problems will not follow me. :)

Congrats on the Egg. Wow, every 3 months? What for? Major issues? I'd be piss as well having to be at the dealership constantly not enjoying what I'm paying for. Hopefully, the ghost will not follow you. ( fingers crossed )

I would think the Phaeton was a pretty comfy ride as well. Too bad you had issues with it.

Phaeton is a sweet ride...enjoy the new Treg

I will miss all the LUXURIES of the Phaeton. My Treg is a boooonnnneee stock v6 with towing package. My wife was kinda wishy washy on purchasing the treg but now she won't drive her dang Saturn Vue she had to have. Oh well good thing I am deployed in the desert. Thanks for all the insight this board is great. Suggestions for wanna be Phaeton owners buy one of the 05 or 06 models after they worked out all the bugs. My nav system which is the brain of the car went out, TPMS went out twice, rear window motor went out during a rain storm in NC. Brakes and rotors went out after owning the car for 800 miles, 1800 dollars. So it was like beating the dead horse so to speak. What was nice was staying with Corvettes down the highway at 120, not that I condone such madness. Like I said before great car hard on the pocket. Definitely a Sunday driver. Plus I got my treg over the phone at 0% interest for 60 months so that made me smile!!!!

I was contemplating a Phaeton. Of course I want a W12 so I was thinking once the price on the original ones goes below <$25K I'd get one for a Sunday cruiser. Maybe in two years... Out of the problems you had were any mechanical or just electronics?

just traded my 1998 A8 for a 2006 Treg black on black V8. I've wanted a Pheaton for years butr after reading several reviews and forums i went with the reg. Ive had it for two day, and have racked up 300 mi. I LOVE IT!!!

nice! ive always thought about the ghost but ive also thought about an a8. i really like the way the a8 looks over the vw. both of them are really nice cars tho. off the subject...i'm kinda upset right now, i have the car sets in the back of the treg for the twins that are coming with in the next few days and i cant sit how i want to in the drivers seat or passenger! grrr, dang babies, just kidding!

I had a pleasure of driving $128K phaeton W12 with air suspentions. This car was a bomb! Fast and furious. It's hard to actually compare the two, they are quit diferrent. I Love them both though! Enjoy it!

Man, do I need an edjumacation in what VAG has been doing for the last 25 years! I've owned a handful of aircooled VW classics and a Passat 1.8T for 8 years but I had no idea that Phaetons could hit $128K:confused: I scarcely recall some automotive rag a few years back calling it the "First $70K+ VW" Didn't know the + went all the way to another 58thou:!:
