Newbie from High Peak

Ordered my 3.0 R Line yesterday from VW, Stockport
Over the last 20 years, I've been driving Frontera's `Nautilus' & `Olympus' but needed to upgrade.
After considering all other 4x4 options, thought I'd bite the bullet and splash out on myself
Pick it up next week :)

:drunk:Hi all, I recently joined along with my V10 with all the toys. Any members in the Aberdeenshire area??
My thanks already to Chaser. I have contacted Ron at Tuningdiesels and will get a synergi from him. Price is very reasonable compared to re-mapping.
My partner and I just love our V10 and I never thought I would say that after my beloved Landcruiser Amazon, but there is no comparison.
Cheers to all. Chris.
Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire here...

Picking up my 3rd T on Monday :)

Good Morning All.

Joe from North Lincs. Looking at buying my first Touareg, always had VW group cars including golf GTi's from mk1 right through to mk6!

Currently own a 6month old Audi a5 sportback and an 18month old Skoda VRS blackline estate.

I'm looking at changing the VRS as I want more space with a young family and potential to tow. I've been looking closely at facelift models 2007-2009 with the 3.0tdi. Can anybody tell me if the 3.0 definitely changed when the facelift came in? Many I have viewed on autotrader seem to be showing an older version prior to 2009, with 225bhp, 0-60 in 9.9 and 25.9mpg average. many 2009 models seem to show DPF in the title which is then producing 240bhp, 0-60 in 8.3 and 28.5mpg.

Can anybody shed any light on the above? maybe engines codes or similar?

Thanks in advance

Read the buying a Touareg link before you go!

You should post a question like that in a separate thread of your own.

And if you haven't still got a good warranty running, get one!

So I am new and in ponty so there a few of us brits on here, and warranty where and who is the best and cheapest? for what you get. Ian

Look at the Warranty Direct thread on mytreg.com

There are others of course and, whilst folk do complain about WD turning down claims [as do all warranty companies if they can - they're in business to make money after all] we have had success getting several of those decisions overturned.

Cheers. the price I get from them is ÂŁ1219.00 a year that is a lot of money. I do agree if the motor has to come out that is about a 40 hour job so I have been told anyway.

Ex UK, now working on Aussie citizenship.......... sorry!!

No need to apologise at all: an Aussie passport doesn't change anything - you'll always be a Pommie bastard [who probably did exactly the right thing!].:D
