Can the digital display be changed to read in MPH? The Speedo is MPH of course, but the digital display is KMH.

'08 TREG V-6.

Anyone know if the mirror is supposed to angle down when it's put into reverse on this year? tried it, with selector to R, and nada.

Tim

Change the units via the MFD and it'll display mph.

your mirror switch must be pointing at the right mirror for the mirror down function to work.

I did put the mirror switch (middle console, joy stick that spins) to the passenger mirror but no auto movement. I can manually move it fine.

Which speed are you trying to change? The Alt speed or the Primary speed?

I haven't done this, but others on the forum report that to change the Alt speed, you need to set your base language for an area that uses Kmh as their primary, then your Alt can be mph.

I know the T3 had a procedure to initially set the mirror for reverse to whatever you wanted it to be, then it would drop for reverse and return to normal for driving. Perhaps check your manual to see if there's a procedure listed for initial setup?

Initial setup??

It won't auto-detect my wife's field of view??

I guess this was an obvious step in the procedure. Thanks.

Yes, as a very last resort, read the manual....

Haha, as a last resort? I've had my treg less than 2 months, but the first thing I did was read the manual cover-to-cover and I think I've been pretty knowledgable because of it. Took a few days to get through it all, but there really is a wealth of information in there - still more available here on the forums, but I always try to clarify with the manual if/when the question warrants it.

If there were more pictures, I would be fine reading it, but it's all written out. :bored:

Let me guess...you folks have other books around as well? Ones you have read?

I feel you on the lack of pictures, and even worse that much of the manual seems to be just repeated warning boxes.

In general, I don't do much reading beyond news websites and forums; almost definitely no fiction-based reading. I do tend to read (and remember) manuals when something interests me, but most of the reading I do these days is as part of computer consulting job which forces me to read a manual one day and be an 'expert' on said topic the next.

I wonder if you make the above change, it will display temp in celsius and cruise control speed in kmh?

So the manual does say that you need driver's memory seat for the mirror feature. We don't have that. Sad.

As for the speed display in the digital box, I simply cannot make it display mph. The manual lists display screens which have a field to switch this, but my display does not have that screen. It goes from tires right to service. Units are set to mph for mileage and consumption, and language is English US. I tried English UK but no difference.

Flash

Probably needs a flash (update). On mine (2006 model) I can have mph or kmph, L/km, MPG(US), MPG(empirical) etc etc etc.. I can change all this on the base level of the MFD menu.
Is this something I can do? Where do I find a flash update or can my dealer do this? I'm willing to buy tools I need for this car....

I would suggest you get the dealer to do it. It is in essence a software update for the car. I could well depend on the version of the ECU you have if you actually get the result you want. The last thing you need is a bricked ECU.... $$$$$$$

The tilting mirror however is not a software issue, there some form of electronics card (hardware) needed, the same one that is used for the seat memory I guess.

It must be a MY "2008" issue because owners of other model years don't seem to have this problem.
