Door handle sensor died

Does anyone know where to find a description of how the get to the driver's side door handle sending unit? It conked out and I know you have to dismantle the entire door to get to it (am ordering the trim kit from ECS). This is for a 2008 V6.

Thanx for any pointers.

Forget the trim kit from ECS there is cheaper elsewhere... need some help here...anyone... Andrie, where is Andrie these days????

In other words, your door is not being sensed open now?

No indication in MFD, no interior lights come on when door is opened, no love shown when entering the Treg... it's the sensing unit on the inside of the door handle. I wonder if the alarm works if you just open the driver's side door... hmmmm

is there a blow up of the door on ETKA? Heaven help me if my door sensors ever fail.... It's so nice to just keep a key in the pocket.

Also - is the the driver's door or passenger (rear) door. I know you're a pretty savvy guy, but it might just be the menu settings if it's the rear door. Do the other three work? What does your MFD menu say? Have you VAG'd it - got any fault codes?

I was looking only in the Bentley, thanx for that pointer, I'll check it out.

No, no easy button. It's the driver side sensor which is a pain as the interior lights don't come on - wonder if the alarm would go off...
