Does anyone happen to have the rough dimensions of the battery box under the driver seat?

I'd measure mine, but my Touareg isn't here.

I may have a possible group buy on some AWESOME batteries!

I don't feel like pulling the seat and carpet to measure, but I can say with experience that Group Size 95R (H9/L6) is almost the max you can fit. There's almost no room to spare.

DIMENSIONS : 15-1/2" L X 6-7/8" W X 7-1/2" H

I know it's not what you asked for, but should be a decent starting point absent physical measurements.

I have an opportunity to get a great deal on some awesome batteries.
BUT they are not quite as long, but taller than the 7-1/2"
1150 CCA AGM!

Wow, that's 200 CCA more than my battery, which was already the highest rating I could find locally under $500.

Too bad shipping from the US would be brutal. Exchange too.

Yes very true, if they fit (it's over 9-1/2 tall) they would be around $400 shipped

I had my battery replaced last year with a Bosch S5A15 which is 190mm tall (7.5 ins) and is the larger of the 2 sizes fitted to T4s in Europe - to find space for another 2 ins is a big ask.

Yes I have a feeling that this isn't going to work

A shame as the price is outstanding for this battery
