Some additional info about Eberspachers:
I just ordered a refresh kit for mine 2 weeks ago. It’s been smokey on start up and shut down, and every once in a while I get a code for no flame. I figure with its age it needs a thorough cleaning and some new parts.

I regret that had not refurbished mine before installing it this season. The unit probably came from some wrecked Touareg, and who knows if it had ever been cleaned/refreshed. It smokes just a little bit during start. On the other hand, it's a diesel heater, with no filters, no cats. I'm pretty some smoke on cold start is expected.
What's the kit that you ordered?

It should only have a very faint puff of smoke on initial ignition (or none at all). Mine use to be like that. Now it gives off a nice cloud of raw white diesel on start up, then a fairly Smokey shut down. I once had someone in a parking lot chase me down, thinking my car was on fire.
I just bought gaskets/seals/glow plug and temp sensors directly from eberpsaecher. Was $150CAD I believe.

@chewblekka What's your setting on this one?
Can Eberspacher be coded to heat the engine first and then the inside of the car? Couldnt find nothing about it.
Thanks!
You should be able to achieve that by disabling N279 valve control in 18-Aux Heater. This way, you will no longer have two circuits, but just one that includes the engine block and the cabin.
One of the Aux heater for 7P configurations that I found online, actually doesn't have the valve at all.

From the cooling system block diagram, I don't think there's any configuration where the heater can heat the engine block first, and then the cabin. The heater is on the cabin side of the N279 valve

Impossible to heat the engine first. The heater is in series with the small cooling loop (cabin heater). Disabling the 3-way magnetic valve is your only option.

@Mariusz, @chewblekka I'm pretty sure i dont have that solenoid/magnetic valve or..i havent seen it when i reinstalled the heater. I just have that additional recirculation pump. According to diagrams is there, near the heater, but not on all cars. I have a 4 zone climate if that makes a difference.
After all, not having a functional heater and now having one makes a big difference. Before, the engine was full warmed up after 15Km (traveling with 60-80 Km/h) when outside was around 0 Celsius and now after 2-4 Km coolant is around 70C, slow city driving.

So, i should leave the REST button as it is or code it to "parking heater and residual heat" as in my printscreen? Makes much more sense to code it and after reading again this topic i think also chewbleka code it this way.

Thanks for all your input!

It really depends how you want the REST button to work for you. If you want it to only distribute residual heat, then leave it as it is. You can still control the parking heater on the big screen. If you want a single button press to start the heater, then recode the REST button to what was mentioned earlier in this thread.
One thing to keep in mind, when you start the heater via remote control, or the REST button, it stays on when you start the engine, and even when you stop the engine, and leave the car. There is a separate setting (I think in the heater adaptation menu) where you can set the heater to shut down when you shut down the engine. I personally prefer when the heater shuts down automatically when I stop driving and go home.

And yes, there is a configuration in which there's no solenoid valve:

but, it doesn't change the fact, that the heater provides heat to the cabin first. In your case, to both cabin heat exchangers:

You can, with some effort and investment, convert your config, so that there's the valve, but from what you said, I understand you prioritize engine block heating over cabin heating
