One thing at a time....... let me try to catch up here.
No such thing as dumb questions, but are you using the bits to get that data? If so, how?
Yes, there are TBs out there that teach you how to interpret them.
Also any idea how I can get this parking brake to stfu. Tried adjusting air gap, but those dam adjuster screws are either rusted to sh*t or I'm doing something wrong.
Also yes, look up my posts... I've documented how to deal with it, plus there are procedures to follow depending on what you're doing... I haven't looked that far into your scan yet... we can go though all that too if you want.

Great, I'll look in to those TB's. (Nice, sounds just like a SOF or AMAM)
Ok, I'll deep dive in to that. I know the motors work, but those dam adjuster screws are gonna get me. I'm almost positive they're out of tolerance but maybe that is something VCDS won't tell me? I used the measured values, I replied to volkswagen for life if you need a little clarity.

So drive it like I stole it?
No... there are specific driving cycles to satisfy each of the tests.... for now, just drive it however you want or "normal" for a few cycles, and then rescan. Do not erase codes. Post results, and we can cover specific driving cycles based on what's left at that point.

What is the estimated mileage, anywhere from 50-350?

There isn't one... lots of factors from condition of everything, to ambient temps, to typical drive cycles distances, etc.
This is why I'm saying use it for a day to commute or do whatever you do, and then rescan... most tests will pass quickly and then you can focus on the remaining ones.

I'm not seeing and EPB codes, so I'm not sure what your issue is. Did I miss something?
Post your airgaps.

Ah yes.... you're really going to want to read my experience as it sounds like you've about to follow suit
Yea, I'm worried now the guy I bought this from had a 'trusty' mechanic that f*#cked up this car and now I'll have to piece it together. I'll continue working on this tomorrow. Thanks for the tips, I'll post more here as time goes on.

What is the estimated mileage, anywhere from 50-350?
It's not based on specific mileage, but on meeting a set number of specific events which correspond to driving situations and temperatures where the system is able to use and test different parts of the system. You can lookup procedures online to go through those events quickly by driving a certain way, however on post-fix TDIs, it seems often a large amount of extra miles are needed on top of the procedures- sometimes as much as 1k. Perhaps there is a new event that isn't covered by the old procedure and could be easily triggered if we knew what it was?

I carefully followed the procedure like 3x on my '09 and it still did not reset, but then suddenly did, I think maybe ~500 miles later.

You have a DEF delivery issue.... your injector is potentially clogged up.
Get under the vehicle, inspect for DEF leak going to injector. Remove injector and inspect. Clean as necessary.
Reset LTA, clear codes, go drive a bunch.
This.... mine has posted DEF faults about once a year in the 4 years I've owned it, and every time the dealer just replaced the entire system- dropping the tank to do the pump and heater, doing the injectors and NOX sensors, the whole works. Strongly suspect just cleaning up the injector was all that was really needed in most or all cases, but dealers don't do things like cleaning and reinstalling old parts.

any links to the procedures? I have a feeling I'll be battling these emissions problems for the entirety of owning this vehicle. I'm not opposed to it, but would prefer if I had a rock solid understanding of the systems.
I'll be back at it again today, gonna start looking for a way to free up these adjusters for the EPB. Will post my info @SaVAGeSoot as the day goes on.
