Yay, after a good chat with Canada post I managed to get my package. So another person to join roasty toasty club soon
saw one for 250Euro plus shipping, very tempting. What is killing me, is that I absolutely need a remote as my schedule is constantly changing, and the remote retrofit is a lot of work. An electric coolant heater (instead of diesel) would be even better, as I could schedule it with a timer.

Remote is only 4 extra wires from what I can see on the diagram. Terminal 6 on the 6 pin connector on the heater connector for remote.

If it's just a 12v signal activated, a single channel 12v aftermarket remote would work.

I have a webasto on my jetta with a aftermarket remote and when I wake up I just press the button and by the time I'm ready, the heater is already throttling down.

What does the parts catalogue say?

No parts catalogue for espar in North America hence why I asked
VW parts catalogue… it’s all there. Those are all VW parts except for the heater unit itself.

Aren't you the helpful type.
😂😂 you’re literally using my helpful guide to perform this retrofit. 😂

I assist people, but don’t hold their hand. If you’re taking on a retrofit such as this, you should be able to do basic parts lookup in the EPC.

Even a website link to main site would have been helpful.
There is multiple vw part sites, not many deal with euro models.
I'm not using your guide, not like it's much help to me anyway.
