The car was hit on the driver side and has unibody damage to the lower frame rail as seen in the photos. The car has been well maintain throughout its life and would be a great off-road or engine swap project car.

I wanted to offer this on the forum prior to sending to an auto wrecker since these are getting hard to find and parts from VW are expensive.

The car has a clean California title.

The vehicle is not currently running due to the electrical shunt located next to the battery under the driver seat. I assume it will run once the shunt is replaced, airbags reset, and codes cleared. Unfortunately, I have too many projects and don't have the time to further investigate and will be selling "as-is".

The side airbags and driver seat airbag deployed and will need to be replaced/fixed.

I do not know of any other items that are non-functioning and or in need of repair other than the damage from the accident. The car has always been well maintained mechanically and cosmetically. There is a scratch on the rear hatch lid and general wear for being 9+ years (a couple small door dings, and scuffs)

Interior is in good shape besides the driver seat where the airbag deployed.
