I recently had an incident with a rock they scraped the bottom of my 2016 right below the ACC radar. Apparently is has misaligned several sensors and therefor the ACC and front assist is disabled. I tried clearing the codes but the ACC and front assist turned right back off. Wasn't sure whether there was a way to recalibrate those sensors. The car really doesn't have much physical damage, some scrapes. Kindof surprised it was thrown off with a relatively mild blow. Thanks for any help offered. I have high hopes of avoiding the dealership but afraid I may not have a choice if I want my cruise control back.

Supposed to be aligned with a specific tool that’s placed a certain distance from the front. Sure you may be able to tweak them enough that the code goes away, but I wouldn’t trust the ACC and emergency braking to properly detect objects.

This is one of the rare times I would go to the dealer.

Thanks for that information, I am thinking along the same lines.. I sure don’t want an epic failure going 70mph. I can’t believe that it got thrown off so easy. In my 09’ the ACC radar was in the VW symbol. Makes me wish they had repeated that. They sit so low and apparently very easy to knock offline.

Oh man. I figured they are expensive. But man. That’s steep. Hopefully it’s something simple. It errored on 3 sensors. Maybe a parking sensor as well.

No wonder they have been moved up in the newer models by most manufacturers...
Trip to the dealer to get them aligned, coded

Man.. modern tech is great til it breaks. I sure hope the people at the dealership know what they are doing. That part always concerns me. Thanks for that information.
