The latest sw:1100 (1000) US firmware update should have been released by now. They keep saying its on its way but when? To many bugs in mine.

What is the RNS-510 firmware?
OS for the radio so to speak. OS= Operating System.
I hope the next round fixes some issues. Not wild about the slowness of the back up cam screen. Times I have been damn near out of the space or backed into it before it comes on. Slow to boot too imo.
Ok, May is just around the corner and still no firmware release? There are times I cant even adjust the volume when listening to Sirius. Signal and music are there but unit still says linking. Volume control is disabled during linking so volume is frozen to what ever you had it set too before.

I am beginning to think VW won't release the new software for exisitng units. New units have shipped with the new version since December... VW might just avoid any potental problems assocated with upgrades by simply not releasing it to us. 
I am not sure there's much we can do about it. I really want HD radio sub channels as well as the full screen rev camera features.

We have identical units so i assume you are having the same issues...yes?
BTW lost my Sirius a couple of weeks back so I had to have my subscription switch over. I was looking forward to never ending free Sirius.

I took my 2010 Treg in for service at the dealership (California) and told them there was a software update for the RNS-510 and could they install it for me. They gave me a strange look and said ok...? Well guess what... they found the update and installed it!! They said the update had just come in and my Treg was the first to get it... I haven't even pickup my car yet (problems with rain sensor); I just wanted everyone to know that the update is available now... I will be playing with it as soon as I pickup my treg, so if anyone has any questions let me know and I'll try to answer them. Nothing to technical:confused2: though I've only had my Treg for 1 1/2 months.
