I am starting to hear the pano roof ‘creaking’ when the Touareg goes over uneven terrain and some noise(clicking-not electric) when driving generally.
Took it to the dealer they applied some special grease etc to it and tried tweaking but to no avail.
Any hints? Has anyone else had similar issues?
If i put my hand on the two glass roofs- fixed and the moveable on upfront i can feel the front one move around slightly when driving, is this normal?
I saw some posts relating to this but cant find any that elude to how it was fixed.

Yep, You need to apply the VW "Special lubricant" rubber softening solution part no -: G 052 172 A1

I apply it to roof seal every 6 months to stop squeaking etc. I also find that I need to apply some Rp7 to the hinges as well to stop them creaking and sticking from going all of the way to the home position.

Apply it yourself don't rust dealer to do it properly. It takes time to get to every section of the rubber. Also, apply it a few times over a week or two if the rubber is not soft.

I had a look at the special lubricant G 052 174 A1 and the parts guy stated it was a power steering lubricant according to his screen. Before ordering some in he suggested I do some research with Audi (I have a Q5) on what is recommended for my VIN and come back.

Audi come up with G 052 141 A2 and this Tech service bulletin - http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/TSb/DownloadPdf?id=174831

When I questioned why so many different part numbers and if they has a MSDS to see what was in it all I could find was it is mainly Krytox and available as an oil or grease lubricant in different sizes, hence the different product numbers by VAG.

Krytox is used in the aviation industry as it is highly resistant to UV, temperature ranges and break down by water, acids and organic solvents on rubber and plastics.

Dealership used some of that first time around.
It seems to be more on some occasions, trying to figure out when.
But theres got to be some simple adjustment- didn’t have this issue in the first 2 years
