Here's my story from the past week.
drivers side high beam started flickering so took it in. dealership 'fixed' the loose connection so went back and picked the car and drove only 300 mtrs to get "...vehicle function" message on screen with the globe indicator flashing. pulled over and saw the headlight sitting two inches outside the body of the egg! the mechanic had forgotten to tighten the screw that holds the headlight! thanks to the safety release otherwise the whole thing would have been on the road.
Next day the high beam, drivers side, stops working again! so took it back to get it fixed. upon pick up i was advised that the bulb had been replaced and everything was fine.
drove 5kms and get the "..vehicle function" message again! have a look inside the bonnet and see the screw which holds the passenger side, note passenger side, is missing and the plastic bit around it is broken!!! and the headlight had moved out ! Instead of replacing the globe on the drivers side the mechanic had changed the one on passenger side and while doing it broke the plastic housing and never reported it!
So took it back once again, the complete plastic bit holding the headlamp was changed and i was assured that all is fine.
drove 10kms and got the same error on screen!!! they still hadnt fixed the globe on the drivers side!!! so taking it back again to get the original problem fixed.
once this is over it would seem sensible to stay away from this dealership.
meanwhile I'm trying to take this experience positively by realising that the benefit lies in getting both the xenons replaced free of cost, which otherwise would cost around $350
