Anyone else have the same problem? I have had 5 out of the last 6 4.2 Liter V8's and a handful of 3.2 Audi V6 engines with the same broken rods. Anyone else seen this?

I repaired my actuator rod with staples and JB weld, but with the new aluminum rod it should hold up just fine, thanks again.I do have one more set ready to go...first to paypal gets it.
vwfans, thanks for payment...will ship to you tomorrow and will provide tracking number.
crazy treg, how much did you pay to get yours replace? did you replace just the rods or the complete kit (approx $330)?
The springs on the actuator control the return of variable intake runners without any vacuum. They are hard to turn by hand and the plastic rods are a cheap ineffective way to actuate the movement and also a weak link which causes failure do to the mechanical stresses put upon the cheap piece of plastic. Obviously some cheap alternative plastic piece and bad engineering.Hey guys take a look at the shaft which this rod is pushing. Mine was very hard to move. The shaft suppose to move back when is no vacuum applied to the actuator. I thing that can be one of the factors why the rods are breaking up.
