That's an awesome color and looks fantastic with the black interior. Would so do this but not sure how it would look with my saddle brown interior :/

That color looks amazing. thinking of doing the interior carbon fiber, don't know if it will look like too much going on. Icon do you mind me asking what roof rack you have and did you paint it?

Thanks, its the thule Aroblade edge flush mount, with the flush mount you can just raise/vent the sun roof also comes in a raised version which you can open the roof completely.Comes in black already.

For those that have done this, did you wrap it in behind the panels or trim it flush with the edge of the wood trim? Combination of both? I would think that there are parts where you would want to wrap it around, such as the cup holders, while the door panels might be good enough just trimmed at the edge. Curious what you have done with yours.

Pootz. I originally did mine without taking the panels off. It will work however taking each panel off really will look the best. Both times I have used a thicker product from Vivvid. Their epoxy gloss carbon fiber I feel is the most realistic looking of what I've seen. It does take some time to work with and you have to have patience with it. Adhesion does seem to be good. Oh don't forget to really clean the piece your wrapping this step is a must. That's my 2 cents

Thanks for the feedback. I have removed the panels but just noticing that with some of them, wrapping around some of the corners is a bit challenging. I'll keep playing around and see what sort of results I can get.

Bringing back an old thread...

For the shift knob, did you guys remove that when removing the boot? I looked at the manual, and it appears there is some sort of one time use ear clip holding the boot and shift knob onto the shift rod.

Nope - it wasn't necessary to remove the actual knob. When the base of the leather shift boot unclips from the trim you can just fit it through the opening in the trim if you twist it a little. There's no need to remove the knob itself.

I have not yet wrapped mine, but I am planning to. The reason for me is that it's inexpensive and looks great. I can't stand the brown wood trim in my 2016 model. Absolutely terrible design for a black on black vehicle, well unless your 65+ years old.

Help!

I've got the center console removed but how do I remove the chrome or wood part from.the console itself? I removed the bolts holding the cup holder on and there seems to be a gap to pry apart the chrome from the console, but I am afraid I might end up breaking something... Same for the ashtray, I have it off- but do I pry the chrome or wood piece off from there?

Thanks!

A 65+ years old wouldn't choose black on black!

Burr Walnut and Cornsilk Beige interior is a class old-school combination.

I takes all sorts I guess.

I've got the T3 with R line interior (so black on black) and it looks fantastic. It obviously comes down to taste, but the black headliner just makes everything so elegant. The brushed aluminium that I have looks and feels great, and I can imagine that wood with a black interior looks awful. I guess black only goes well with aluminium, and maybe... piano black trim? That might make it look a bit depressed, but still better than some wood that seems to constantly tell you "Sorry, mate. Wrong party"

We all seem to have a different opinion, but just finished wrapping mine. Will install tomorrow.. the vinyl has a textured feel to it and really looks eloquent, I really very pleased with it. The lighting makes it seem a little darker than it actually is, I'll get some day time pics up after the install.
