That's cool! I was always wondering about this option. Is there a SAFE way to remove the T.O.U.A.R.E.G letters and eventually use another tape to stick'em back in this shortened order?

I remember I did this trick on my previous car, but I had to replace the whole rear door, which was painted at my dealership, so I asked them to play with letters before they'd glue them normally...

Dental floss, heat gun, goo-be-gone, patience...NOT razor blade, sandpaper, paint. There have been numerous write ups on differnt car forums, and I think someone even video taped one and posted on youtube.

Here we go:

oliver was referring to his "Golf XXL" being a sticker. I am not 100% positive, but I believe you have to remove the inside panel of the hatch to remove the logo. I think it's either plastic clips or screws holding it in place.

Actually i meant Touareg logo, its a sticker. Hard plastic letters separately attached with double sided soft tape. You can tear them off by lifting from a corner with a knife. Be careful to avoid scratshes in paintwork. Tape remains can be removed with thinner or alcohol - keep away nailpolish removers!!!
