Changed the front brakes on our 04 V8 Reg yesterday at 38544 miles. Still had a little meat on them, but it was time. Dealer wanted $750.00 for the fronts. I bought both the front and the rear brake parts, rotors, pads, brake kits, sensors, misc new bolts complete for less from Alretta. I will change the backs in a about 5K.

Steve -

Gee, didn't you visit me for these parts months ago?

I am surprised, as I thought you would have done this way back when... OK, how did it go? Any surprises?

Regards,

Geoff

front brakes

No, just put the fronts in. It was convenient for me to get the parts from you at that time, since I was in your neck of the woods (I think that I had a casting call in Boston) and knowing full well that I would have to do them in the future. Do you carry the parts for an 05 Mercedes SL500 or can you get them? I will need to do the fronts soon.
BTW, I have given you name to a few other shops. Thanks again.

Absolutely! I have had the pleasure to do this once before, so shipment can be prepared for USPS Priority Mail, which goes to New Jersey , then overseas... Two cartons, 110 lbs total weight, 14x14x10 box sizes. Oddly enough, I believe it is cheaper to buy here from us than there... plus there is no sales tax charges!

Call me to make any order? Thanks,

Geoff

Deltadart, what brand of pads are they? I used to use Performance Friction Carbon Metallics from AutoZone on my previous vehicles with great results. If that is the brand, be sure to change the pads before you get anywhere near the backing plate, as I think there is a minimum thickness of pad material that you must have for them to honor the warranty.
