Bought the TDI in November and it only has 6k on it, so I can't say I have a full years worth of data.

That said, all winter I noticed the mileage was 2-3mpg better on days when it was broadly above freezing leaving the house than when it wasn't. It's the same again now it's over 50 degrees. I'm literally getting 5-6mpg better than I was in the winter.

Anyone else notice this disparity?
This is on a roughly 18mile drive mixed urban and highway.

Yes, though not to the degree you describe. Plus, we are using a diesel with the 'summer blend' now. When it's gets hot and the AC is working hard, the mileage will go down a bit.

Getting 26-27avg with 75% highway.

winter fuel returns fewer MPGs....I've 28000 miles and tracked every fill up for the first 22k miles...26.5 mpg overall...winter spring summer fall city highway towing or not....it all balances out.

You didn't read my post.
The mileage differed significantly depending on whether it was warmer or not, on the same tank of gas.
It sounds suspect, may be a need for a dianotic scan with VCDS or VAS. If something as noticeable as this is happening i would expect to see an error lamp on the dash. What do you refer to as a hot v's cold day?

Stuart..
