Love the stock Ayers Rock wheels !
But as I have the 2.5 option my car is equiped with 5X120 :-(

Thinking about 20" but are also cosidering 22"

Rinspeed Replica and OZ Canyon hvave been on my mind for a whilw.

Here is a pic with the winter tiers.

Any other option I should think of ?

looks ok to me ... wish i had a garage .. ....Nikoloz ... would be more than happy i am sure to comment on you set up he is running street wow stuff

I'm running 20" Rinspeeds with 275/45-20 tires. It's been a great set-up and totally transformed the stance and look of the Touareg. The OZ Canyons are nice but are only offered in grey these days. Also, take a look at Victor Wheels.

I don't recommend 22's because of the added un-sprung weight per wheel/tire. Touareg's (even the V8's) don't have the HP and torque to properly run that size wheel/tire.

Found this with google !

Tuning Felgen LS21.
Looks like they have 9x20 with 5x120 bolt pattern.
How would ET45 work with 9" wide wheels ?

The closest i could find to Ayers Rock ! :D

Also added a couple of Ayers Rock

hi :) your touareg looks good :) if you want to fit new wheels and tires you have few options to choose from, unfortunately there are very few OEM wheels with 5X120 bolt pattern, so you have to find something from aftermarket wheels (be careful and do not forget touareg is 2,5 tonnes ) and also pay attention to wheel width and offset ET, (stock 20'' wheels have ET 60mm) or you can install wheels hub adapters from 5X120 to 5X130 and then fit all the touareg, Cayenne or Q7 OEM and aftermarket wheels :) here is the link of this kind of adapter but you have to take to consideration that thickness of the adapter will gonna push the wheels out from the arch about 25mm and you gonna need fender flares :)

i disagree, as long as you wheel OD (overall diameter) is 29'' you will not have any kind of performance issues, if the OD is over 31.5'' in this case you will notice lack of power (a bit) but i agree that ride on 22'' will be bumpy and uncomfortable as the thickness of the tire side wall is minimal :)

My 20x9.5 et45 turbo 2 reps. 275/45/20 tires.

Glad I went 20. I feel 22 would have been a little harsh riding. When my lowering module is on, 20s sit nicely for my taste.
Damn, why did you have to go and post that? That look REALLY REALLY good. I approve X 10!! If I had to rate my favorite wheels of all time, these are number 1, followed by tiguan R-Line savannah rims and then not sure about a third.

I have been looking for a set of turbo II Reps for a little while now. I also think 22 is a bit too much for my taste. 18" is too small, 19" tires cost MUCH more than 20" tires and 21" cost even more. Not worth the harsh ride IMO.

Yeah. I am pretty happy.

I was going to get the niche Milan 20s bot wasn't sure how the bronze tinted face would look.

Got these from a wheel dealer in the so Bay area. Paid $750 out the door cuz I picked them up.

But they are on ebay pretty cheap too. Be aware, some are 20x9 not 20x9.5 if that matters

I know taste is personal, but I do NOT like those milan rims at all. They don't have the same understated class like these ones do. I never thought to check Ebay because shipping is probably horrendous. You got a pretty damn good deal there! Thanks for the warning on the sizing, I would prefer the 9.5" for sure as I plan on running 285 wide tires minimum, what is your offset (or maybe you mentioned it already)?

So sorry to OP...don't mean to thread jack!

Yeah. Milans are not understated for sure. But I really wanted a concave wheel.

Offset on these is et 45. Pretty flush. With a 285 tire it would be just passed the fender but not silly looking.
I used to hate the concave look and the tiguan savannah rims changed that for me. Concave can be REALLY nice. I take it you are running 265's? I don't want any fender poke at all, do you think I can find these with something like 50-55 offset?

EDIT:

Found these, looks like I will find it in the correct offset.

I am running kumho 275 45 20. They are right on the edge.

Be aware that ebay link is for staggered. I am sure i have seen then in et50 somewhere on ebay. Good luck
Thanks for the heads up, I was just using this ad as an example. I will keep a look out as it gets closer to the summer. May get lucky and pick up a local wheel and tire package from someone.

be careful guys when you choose the wheels as you can face fitting problems with some tire and wheel combination, i did tonnes and tonnes of research before i bought and fitted my 20''X9'' ET60mm Cayenne turbo sport techno wheels with 285/50/20'', there tires are so big and wide there is no chance of fitting them without spacers unless your wheel offset is 50mm or less.
