Hello, I have a 2008 R5 Touareg, Automatic Gearbox and i have a strange noise that i can not identify.
- The whistling noise is positioned in the front right side of the car from my opinion and it is starting when the car is cold and between 40 and 60 km/h
- the noise is the same no matter the speed or rpm
- the noise dissapears when the oil temperature is over 70 degrees.

I have uploaded a file with the sound.
Please click here to download the file

Thanks in advance
Adrian

I am in the car now it is +1 outside and no noise.

Check the door card if you have the webasto heater.

When you hear the whistle, pull over and check if there is exhaust coming from under the car.

i have the normal webasto not the one that has programing.
It is staring with the car and stops when the water temp is at 90 degrees

it is on the left side of the car near the wheel - the sound seems to be on the right hand side
