Don't feel like spending a ton on roof racks for my Touareg when I'm not concerned about the look.

Looking around Kijiji, it seems that there are a number of adjustable racks that look like they would work with the rails.

Any ideas of specific racks that would work, that people would likely just be getting rid of from old vehicles?

Yes, look for the roof racks from the 2010ish generation of the Ford Flex with the roof rails. If they have the feet that sit on the roof they're the wrong ones, you need the ones that wrap around the roof bars.
