My generic code reader says there is a P2084 fault with the exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 circuit (range/performance) on my '14 diesel.

I believe this is the sensor that is the furthest away from the turbo (of the three sensors on the pipe between the turbo and the cat). Does that seem right? If so, does anyone have replacement part number on this?

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried a couple searches in directly on the site and one or two searches of the ClubTouareg site through Google. I did find the service manual and I think I'm right about the location of sensor 2.

Just need to find a part number now. Any suggestions where I can find this?

Call a dealer and get the correct part # based on vin. Using vendor sites may or may not provide the correct info.

My 2014 VW Touareg TDI is giving me the same error code. I understand there are four sensors. I've check the easiest one first. This one if before the DPF. It registers 241 Ohms of resistance and then increased with temperature. Did you find the bad sensor on your T'reg? Which one was it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, did you purchase any special sockets?
