Greetings all-

More t-reg newbie questions...
My wife is really quite interested in getting a t-reg to replace her '99 Lexus RX300. The RX 330 and t-reg right now are her top two choices. We have driven a used '04 v-6 and a new '05 v-6 in the past two months. I'm thinking about going down to drive a new '04 v-8 sometime this weekend. THe two dealers close by both have some left over '04s that they want to move - appearently pretty bad, based on how many times the sales rep has called my wife. What do you think I could get for one of these. Reviewing the different trim levels of the ones they have left, they are all pretty equivalent, the only difference is the ones with or without the air-suspension, which I am still undesided about. The other thing is that they showed me where they had all TSB work done on these '04s...

Any advise?
TIA,
Jayson

How were they able to show you the tsb done to the car? Was it in writing? When I went to the dealer, I was afraid of the 2004 models and didn't even look at them. If they can prove that they did the tsb on the car, I might even consider a 2004 model now.

The sales rep just gave me one example, but all you have to do is have the sales rep take the VIN to a Service Writer and run it, this would show any and all TSB/Recall work for that particualr vehicle. Thats how it should work, anyway. Perhaps this is something that could be negotiated as aprt of the sale, in other words, don't buy it unless they are willing to do the TSB-work. That and give you a great price.

In late October I bought my Silver 2004 V8 in Virginia [Nav system, SOund II, Xenon, convenience package, parking assist] as follows:

MSRP 48105
Invoice 43862
My Priice 39600

Most importantly, the VIN is 86xxx, and so the car is a very late model 2004 - the car also had just 51 miles.

I also had a trade in, but it didn't really figure into the deal, as I got a good price based on Kelly Blue Book and my interactions with other dealers and used car lots.

Good luck.

i paid about 45k

This is in line with what everyone else in this thread has been paying so far. My vin is in the 72000s - and no problems!

Choose the RX330 instead

I wish I had never traded in my 2001 RX300 !!! I should have gone to Lexus and gotten the 2004 or 2005 RX330. (More reliable!!)
In Sept. I bought a 2004 Touareg V8 fully loaded. I admint it has style, performance, and great handling, but it is a lemon!! Lots of electronic issues. Read my postings. It is dead in the shop 18 consecutive days now. I am pursuing the Lemon Law in Ca.

how much i paid

Bought my V8 in Sep. It's got PPS, Air susp, 4-Zone, Nav, Xenons, and Rear diff lock. Got it for $41,378.

Only problems thus far (2k miles) are the infamous right-side drift and CD's burned on Fujifilm discs skip incessantly.
