Hi, I have a 2008 v6 that came with 17in 106v or 106h wheels... ( not sure wich one) I have 20inches now. While looking for new winter tires, I came across these:

Falken HS449 28492016 Tires | 1010Tires.com Online Tire Store

I read on this forum here and it was not clear for me... bigger wheels=higher max load ? XL? LT ?

So I called them, they asked me:

-"Did you have LT tires on the original vehicule?"
-I said no, but do I need XL ?

He told me not to care about XL or not. He also told me whatever the size of the wheels, these tires can handle 2094pds each, calculate with your car weight per wheel and thats it. I told him the vehicule gross weight. Said they are perfectly secure for my vehicule...

What do yo guys think ?

thanks

For the T1-2 20" wheels stock size is 275/40-20 load index of 106, but recommend pressures are 39f and 49r so you might want to take that into consideration.

The load index gives the load capability of the tyre regardless of it's construction.

XL vs non-XL - XL tyres have stronger sidewalls so tougher off-road but harsher on-road.
