Part Number ： 7P0877307BJT6. Before assembly debugging, first check whether the roller shutter is installed in. Fit Engine and Model. After the debugging is normal, the motor can be used to open and close.

part number - 7P0877307BJT6 seems to come back as the black version, but that might be an older number, as the vw site above lists the CJT6 instead

Unfortunately its going to have to be one of those 'take it out see what's broken' jobs as I've been told its the whole thing from a specialist and VW (both quoting $4k!). But knowing I can get the parts is helpful, thank you.

Now if you have instructions on how to remove the headlining you'd be my new best friend! 😇
