PROBLEM:

Have this weird noise going on from time to time when wheels are turned on slow speeds. Whole car seems to be "skipping/shaking" when this happens and also sometimes it's worse and sometimes it's minor. Any suggestions on what the problem could be?

Google came up with these options? What do you think?

1) CV joint 2) Transfer case 3) Center carrier bearing

Thanks guys!

1. You haven't engaged the diff lock have you?

2. Have you got 4 IDENTICAL tyres on the car?

Same make, same model, same tread pattern, same size and with no more than 2mm difference in the tread depth between tyres on the same axle and no more than 3mm tread depth difference between the front and rear tyres?

If not, then change the tyres.

3. Otherwise, read up on the Stepper Motor.

It is easy to see - just get out and get under the car!

1. Diff lock 90% of the time set to HIGH

2. I always use genuine tyres. Now i'm on Pirelli Scorpion Verde r18 255/55 (all 4)

3. Will look into this

Thank you for your answer - much appreciated!
