Hello friends,
we have the following situation ...with our Touareg V6 TDi 224 hp ~230 000 Km
We parked the car working in the evening everything fine no issues.
The morning was not so good ...
the car cranks but it refuses to start....
the car stays at a basement where the degrees does not fall under 0 Celsius Never
the fuel is Shell V-power the the tank is full.
So we suspect the battery --> bought brand new 820 Start 100 AH capacity and replaced the old one.
The problem remains .... car cranks but won`t start at all .
No errors on dashboard
I connected the Vcds to check out what is the problem.
The only problem is that High pressure bars are 0.0 and don`t change when it cranks ...
We sucpect the High pressure pump because when we test those in tanks we can hear them and fuel is delivered to the fuel filter....
I will attach the full scan log and live data from engine while cranking.
Can the suspected pump be dead after one night without even working ....

Nothing in the log to suggest the HPFP is the problem, error message mentions canBus, do internet search to see if you can find what "P1629 - 001 - Missing Message from Auto-Distance Controller" actually means.

Post your issue on the Ross Tech forums they are very helpful. I don't see the HPFP to be the issue. It looks electrical possibly an immobilizer issue. Is your key opening & locking the vehicle & working wirelessly?

Run VCDS again & clear the codes. Some of them may be red herrings left over from when the battery was changed.

What is your current temperature? I'm guessing cold. Did you put power service anti-gel into the tank? Sounds like gelled fuel system.

Hello friends!
Thanks for your time and support,
to update the topic and to be helpfull for some colleague with same issues down is what worked for us.
so we managed to fire up that trash
we replaced the valve for the high pressure twice the first was defective ... then we unscrew to bleed some diesel because it was seems there is air into the system.
Turn the ignition on and now its ok ... yet.

yeah lol, V-Power is Shell’s branded 93 octane with high additives.

Unless shell has a V-Power “premium” diesel elsewhere.
Yes, there is indeed a Shell “V-Power“ Diesel in Canada. Two levels of Shell diesel here.

Hello folks!
Long time passed but we had some travels abroad ... the entire fault was on the fuel high pressure valve
after replacing it with brand new the coast was somewhere around 100-110 Eur then we cleared all errors then vapors all the air out of the fuel system
and the engine started since then no issues with this.
:)
