letter at the end mean...does this mean it's a newer revision with a later number or a completely different part? For example I'm looking for HVAC motors/servos. I noted they have the same part number with different letters. I'm trying to determine if these letters are unique and thus the servo does something different (they all look alike) or as sated just revisions.

Example:

7L0 907 511 E
7L0 907 511 D

Any idea why Vw would list the same part number for all the different HVAC servo locations but they (for the most part) appear to have all different revision numbers?

If you look at the screenshot you could see my question/concern.

If you look at a more extensive list of the dozen or so servos almost all of them have different letters at the end. They all look visually the same.
