Hello,

Just purchased a couple new LED's for the license plate. Of course it didn't come with proper load transistor, so as soon as the 2nd LED gets put in, up comes check lights error. Can someone tell me if I can change the current with the vagcom that the system is looking for? Or disable the check for the license plate? Seems easier that adding a transistor .

Just buy lights with the resistors, I changed all mine to LEDs inside and out. No fault codes.

Lol that's not exactly the point. Would like to learn how to change it with the vagcom. One of the reasons of purchasing it to make changes if needed. Also for members reading this, any recommendation where to get LED's?

I don't think you can which may be why people are suggesting you go out and buy the right bulbs!

If you bought your Vag through Ross Tech then just email them. They will help you out. If you bought it from an individual you can register it for around $90 and you'll then be eligible for support as well.

Lol! Why would you change with vag com, when you can just buy the proper ones to begin with. Try doing a search there are plenty of threads about it. I bought mine on eBay, but there are places that sell all the lights as one kit.

Clearly one can buy the proper LED's as you mention. But with vagcom in hand plus LEDs in hand, one would like to see if its possible. You just missed what the thread is about.

any luck with the vag com ?? I've got the same issue. But when I measure the voltage I get 0 V. It all started when I plugged in my trailer.
