I tried leaving my home last week and as I accelerated past around 1500 rpm the "Oil Pressure / Stop Engine" fault came up on the dash. As I was only 50m or so from home I returned and checked the oil. It was down on the dip stick so topped it up with Penrite 5W-40. It idled fine without error, but as soon as I get over around 1500 rpm the error returns. I have looked with VCDS and the pressure value does not change from start-up. So I suspect it is either the oil pressure switch (which a number of forums suggest is the problem), or in fact I have no pressure. I noticed when I topped up the oil that a rodent had set up home in the engine bay, so there is also the possibility that it has chewed some wiring. To date I have not been able to find any info on where the switch is located on the V10, nor how to access it for testing/replacing. Does anyone have info to help please?
