V10 missing when air temp is above 25c

Hi all,
Got a '04 V10 with 285k. It runs like a boss at night when the air is cool/dense. But when it gets warm, say above around 25c it'll start missing & kind of stuttering sometimes. I'm going to get some diag done on it soon but thought I'd see if these symptoms ring a bell with anyone. Turning the car off completely and starting it will reset it most of the time but I usually get off the road as quick as I can once it starts doing that.
It's had a turbo replaced about 7-8 years ago and I think the DPF might be cactus as well.
When the diags done I'll post the output here.
TIA, Rob

Yes you need to see if any fault codes are present but a miss that is fairly noticeable should throw a misfire code.

Yours will not have a DPF only series 2 onwards.

Thanks Drag,
The guy I bought if from told me it had a DPF. (He'd owned it since new but had mechanics do all the maint/repairs.)
What systems do they have in place & is it easier to replace the exhaust on these models?
Cheers, Rob
Hopefully the codes will shed some light on the problem. The missing is definitely noticeable when it's happening! It's kind of like when a car is running out of fuel and it starts to miss & stumble.

My first bet would be fuel pump issues.

Thanks Drag, it just seems weird that the problem seems to be linked to the air temp. If it's fuel pump you'd think the problem would exist regardless of the outside air temp.
I drove it 300km the other night and it was running great. Although having said that, right at the end (at the top of the Toowoomba range) it missed a couple of beats.
But if I run it on a hot day it starts playing up almost straight away.
Kind regards, Rob
New air and fuel filter already done?
Yes, service done 3000km ago including Air & Fuel filter.
I don't see how this could cause a misfire but; my R5 (half of an R10) was playing up in the heat due to oil in the intercooler probably due to a leaking oil seal in the turbo.

I drove around the snowfields all day without an issue.
Just to confuse the matter;
I drove it today for about 30 mins in 34c temps & it didn't miss a beat. (wasn't giving it a hard time though.) Thanks again for the input. When I get to the bottom of the issue I'll be sure to let you guys know.
Praying it's not an engine out issue!
Cheers, Rob
