I got my Touareg in limp mode after changing the dual pump, could it be the circular electrical connector behind the cylinder head that cause this error code?

I'd check that, and I'd also consider taking all the covering off the engine / injector harness to look for rubbed / broken wires.

If you clear the code does it come back right away?
