I've got a fuel/oil leak at the pump on left rear head. I'm aware the left pump is technically not a tandem pump, that it's a fuel pump.
It's leaking fuel enough to warrant near immediate repair.
I've ordered a reseal kit 07Z-127-025-F.
I'm guessing the repair procedure is similar to doing the right tandem pump?
Intake out, fuel filter assembly out...?
Is there a guide for this?
I plan on cleaning the intake while there. Fuel filters were recently done, as was the right randem pump.
Anything else I should do while I'm there?
Tia!

Just buy a new pump. If you are over 150,000 miles the internals are most likely worn out.

I don't know how, but I know some people have replaced the pump in situ

It looks like I have the same problem. Were you able to change in situ? Any tips?
Yes, removed and rebuilt with the kit and 30K+ miles on it since w/o any issues.
This was a couple years back so going on memory here... it did require removing the driver's side intake assembly and on the early '04 BKW motors, the fuel filter assembly. You'll be working by feel and/or with a mirror but doable.
