[V10again]

Hi all,
I am located in Southern California.
I have an 06 V10 that developed (instantly) a misfire and a check engine light saying cylinder 5 misfire.
I am also getting a lot of white smoke from that bank. Like un-burnt fuel (maybe)
First question, are there any. VW techs here in SoCal that are familiar with this beast?
Second,, has anyone here experienced this.

It could only be a fuel injector or valve.

A VCDS check should tell you.

A worn camshaft is another possible cause for a misfire like that. If you have vcds or similar VAG capable scan tool, it would be good to look at the cylinder contribution of all the cylinders.

Why would you say that?
Both replies have suggested he do a VCDS scan.
As well as some costless, parts free checks.
