VIN shows 2004, dealer says it's a 2005.
Considering selling after owning a few years. It's been my daily and has proven itself well.
Currently 195-96K miles. Great road trip vehicle.
Not a street queen but ideal for off roading or overlanding- which is why I bought it. She shines up well with a wash and presents well enough to impress a date. Interior is in good shape with usual wear.

Runs strong with a Malone tune. Starts right up no smoke even in freezing temps.
Meticulously maintained. Changed all driveline fluids when I bought it.
Replaced all front end suspension arms, tie rods and brakes in the last 20K. Rear brakes done last year.
2 sets of wheels/tires in 18" and 19": Offroad and street. New TPMS sensors available.

No evidence of body damage. Undercarriage is VERY clean. No damage.

No fluid leaks, which is impressive. Prior owner was a Euro shop owner.

Cons:
Main issue is the transmission valve body. Eventually Needs to be rebuilt or replaced. I put new selonoids in it last year which helped. New fluid and filter. Fluid has always been clean. Trans holds full power even with the tune. Works best in either sport or manual mode. No codes.

I'm willing to adjust the price but need to start somewhere.

Various small dents but the paint isn't cracked. Looks great from 10'.
Rear hatch struts went out this winter- no assist.

Typical front roof drain leaks. I park on a hill to help avoid water ingress. Drain tubes are available from the dealer.

Front air bags leak down some overnite. Airs right up. My mechanic replaced the front struts with better used OEM ones and the leak ocurred afterwards. I think the top hat o-rings need to be replaced. 5$ part. The rear struts were new units replaced about 3-4years ago. Car hunkers down and tightens up nicely in Sport mode.

Possible rear wheel bearing is going bad? It's slowly degraded over the last 2 years. If I keep it will just replace both as the rear suspension is otherwise tight.

Recommend upgrading the Nav unit as the CD player is inop. Otherwise everything works. Good sound system. Has Aux input for 1/8" plug.

Pro's:
NO DPF or EGR issues.
FAST
No fluid leaks
Reliable and great running.
Handles great, tight suspension and steering. Actually fun to drive for a 6,300lb tank.
GREAT brakes: EBC Yellow pads and high carbon German rotors, Goodridge S/S lines, DOT4LV Pentosin fluid.
Cold A/C with Dual zone
NO engine or trans codes via VCDS.
Newer Batteries: (9 months) Odyssey 49AGM front, 49 Wet rear (3yrs). Good voltage, no glitches or drains.
Amsoil synthetic in engine. Very expensive. Engine loves it. (orginally came with 5/30 507 oil; immediately drained. Switched to Amsoil 5/40 Euro for 2 changes, then 15/40 Marine spec last 20K).
Newer driveline fluids last 3 years with LiquiMoly. Old fluids were still clean.
She's reliable. I often road trip and she loves the open highway. I have a twin turbo v8 Audi and I like this better for all around use. Easy to park too.
Both sets of wheels have high end tires with plenty of tread and will last for years.
Will get 23+MPG at 80 on the street tires.
Low range works great. Amazing traction bolstered by the easy diesel torque. I see gas engines always spinning tires in videos while diesel just walks up anything. Personally I like to enjoy a easy crawl and avoid damage.

I love this rig despite it's idosyncracies. Owning a V10 is NOT for everyone. This is my second and wanted an early version.

For awhile thought a T1 V6TDI was ideal. Not a fan of timing chains or the extreme cost to repair. Wish there was a V8 Tdi with gear driven valvetrain. The V10 is SILKY smooth. I've daily driven a Cummins 5.9 and that got old quickly. Constant vibration.

I'd like to see this go to good hands whom wants to take it to the next level. Perfect candidate for overlanding and bolting on all the goodies on the market lately.

If you're seriously curious and have the means, please do reach out. Will get pics uploaded asap.

Located in Oregon. No issues driving it anywhere as she is.
