Today during my TYC/Genera Cabin Filter install I noticed the instruction mentioned to install the filter so the arrow points towards the drivers side. I was under the impression (oem) the arrow should point to either side (but not the ends) so you can ensure the air flow in correct. Therefore my question is should the part number and arrow be visible from the bottom when installing or not? This will be the only way to make sure I got it right.

I just did this tonight. The writing must be on the bottom and the air flow arrows pointing towards the center console. Also if you notice on the filter itself, the two frame ends are slightly different heights. Inspect the opening of the filter housing. There should be a notch on one end of the housing letting you know that it will accept the taller end of the filter. It should go in very easily. Hope this helped.
